Čelik doo is part of one of the key energy transition projects in Europe – the electrification of process units at Shell’s Chemical Park Moerdijk, led by Siemens Energy.
As part of this project, aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and transitioning to more sustainable industrial processes, our company was responsible for the complete fabrication and installation of specialized E‑House containers designed to house critical electrical equipment. These units represent an essential element of the new electrified infrastructure that replaces steam turbines and gas‑fired steam boilers with high‑efficiency electric motors.
Our Contribution to the Project
Within the scope of the delivery for Siemens Energy doo Belgrade, Čelik doo completed:
- Full fabrication and assembly of two E‑House containers
- Length: 28 m
- Length: 20 m
- Structural preparation and final installation in accordance with the highest industrial standards
Project Significance
The electrification of key compressor systems at Shell’s Chemical Park Moerdijk marks an important step toward emissions reduction and improved energy efficiency. Replacing steam turbines with electric motors enables:
- substantial CO₂ reduction – approximately 10% per year,
- lower fuel consumption,
- reduced heat loss and noise during operation,
- enhanced plant reliability.
We are proud that the E‑House units produced by Čelik doo are an integral part of this advanced technological transformation and that our work directly contributes to global sustainability goals.
