Novi Sad Railway Station

As part of the project “Reconstruction and Modernization of the Belgrade-Novi Sad-Subotica-Hungarian Border (Kelebija) Railway,” the Novi Sad-Subotica section includes the reconstruction of the Novi Sad railway station.

A total of 102 steel platform canopies were installed on five platforms at the railway station. The canopy is designed as a steel structure, with a roof covering made of aluminum sheets and tempered glass.

The newly designed canopies come in two types (single-column and double-column). The canopy’s shape is designed to resemble the tessellated roof of the station’s central vestibule, creating a harmonious whole with it.

In addition to the direct infrastructural improvements and contributions to fostering an environment for economic growth and development, such projects promote a sense of community, create better conditions for all users, and make the city a more pleasant place to live.
