Railway Bridge on Begej river

In collaboration with the company Karin Komerc MD doo from Veternik, we signed a contract for the dismantling of the existing old railway bridge over the Begej River in Zrenjanin, as well as the installation of a new railway bridge made from the parts of a prefabricated – demountable MD bridge from Novi Sad.

The bridge is located on a single-track railway. Bridge elements with a span of 72.0m were used. The MD bridge elements include longitudinal and transverse beams, vertical steel trusses, braces, and roadway panels.

The existing bridge was a steel truss structure with a triangular infill and a curved upper chord. Jigs were designed for the assembly of the new bridge elements, which were also used for the dismantling of the old one.
